Satellite TV channels have often been associated with business propaganda. There are a few channels that help in the process of enhancing the business. One such channel is Bloomberg Television. This channel was launched in 1994 with the intention of providing business news. It is a 24 hour global network that provides financial news and business updates to all its viewers. Since we all want to be up to date with the world wide business market, it is not surprising that the channel reaches to more than 200 million homes all over the world. Though the channel reaches to most arts of the world, yet its head quarters are in New York City. There are other places like India, Hong Kong, Italy, France and Japan that have offices for the broadcast of this channel.
But like most other successful channels, this
Dish TV channel too faced some controversy. In UK during the 2005 UK national (General) election, Bloomberg TV was accused of breach of Ofcom rules. Since the channel had given footage to the pro-Labor Party bias [3], it resulted to a breach of British law. It is the ethics of a TV channel that asks all the channels to give equal footage to all major political parties. Bloomberg TV had given more air time to the launch of the "Business Manifesto" of the Labor Party but the Conservatives or Liberal Democrats did not receive enough attention. It took quite a toll on the channel but strong that they were things looked bright soon.
